Nights like this, I wish Nin didn't work nights. I like having company, especially on Friday, which always seems to be a long night. It's not like I don't have dozens of DVDs to watch, but it's not the same when you can't talk about it [g]

Yeah, I'm a lonely spinster [hangs head]

So I'm spinning my wheels. Should I start rewatching old TV series? Or clean the apartment? (that's not my favourite choice!) A movie? Spam my f'list?

Being seriously ill really played a part in my last dry spell, so yeah, I can see why you're in a funk writing wise.

I suppose it's true that you need to write for you, but damn it, it's nice to know someone out there enjoys what you write! I still get annoyed over a stupid comment I got on fanfic.net years ago! It wasn't constructive, it was just idiotic and proved the person didn't have reading comprehension skills.

I don't know if she is. I'll have to ask.

I've had this idiotic pneumonia for three months now. I'm just getting to the point where I can quit running with school for the boys and actually stop long enough to really rest. Now I'm hoping I can completely recover from it since school is out.

Maybe I just got burned out on writing because I wrote so much for so long. I had days where I could easily crank out 20, 30, or even 40 pages a day. I did that for years. Then all this other stuff was going on and of course, because I'm the mom, it got put way down on the list of priorities. LOL

Yeah, idiotic comments which aren't constructive can be so annoying. I never really bothered with putting anything up on ffnet because of content issues and the TOS.

What I found amusing as hell one time was ten people who read a particular story that was original and almost 400 pages long. Nine of those people comprehended a certain part at the end and that things were not as they appeared to be. The one person who didn't seem to get it kept bombarding me with pissy comments about how that would NEVER happen because these characters were ____ and ___ and she was just appalled that I'd allowed this to happen, blah, blah, blah, yadda, yadda, yadda, ad nauseum. I called the person who had beta read it (She also happens to be VERY educated, and questioned her about this. (Keep in mind, this has been like three years ago.) I explained to her what had me spazzing out so bad about this stupid story and she told me that some people are just stupid and can't/won't/don't see what's in front of them in black and white and to ignore that person's rantage.)

Now here's the pisser.

Said freak who couldn't pay attention to what she was reading long enough to comprehend that things weren't as they appeared to be...turned out to be writing her own original fics and hoping to get published. *dies laughing*

And because I'm evil and pissy, to this day, I hope her stuff gets stuck at the bottom of every slush pile where she submits to and that it's used as a door stop at each place. Why? Because someone that fracking stupid just doesn't deserve to be published in the first place.

Yeah, I know--sick, sweet irony--my hoping that she never gets published is just exactly the thing probably preventing me from it were I to submit anything anywhere. LOL

Life is fun, ain't it? *g*

PS--Yes, please do ask her because she might find some of those comms useful. Thanks for passing along the word.
