Sampling

I got a bunch of perfume samples from Lucky Scent in yesterday. Last night I tried Burning Leaves, and today is In the Library. I thought I'd post about them as I go, or until I forget.

Burning Leaves really does have a scent of well, burning leaves. I like it, but at the same time, can't imagine smelling like that.

Burning Leaves notes:
The smoke of burning maple leaves

And that's it! I may try it one more time, just out of curiosity.

Today, I'm wearing In the Library and it's pleasant, but not to my taste.

In The Library notes:
Russian & Moroccan leather bindings, worn cloth and a hint of wood polish

Both scents, and most of the samples I got, are from a new line called CB I Hate Perfume, if you were interested in more information. Each scent comes with an essay on the website from the creator.

That second one sounds as though it smells the way I imagine Snape to smell. The first sounds like a delicious scent.

You should try BPAL - they are addictive!! I recommend "Imp" and "Fallen" and then there's the famous "Snake Oil"

But I love that you found this site!! I am forever fascinated by fragrance, so Im gonna have fun exploring this one!

I have yet to buy anything but samples from them, but started about two years ago. My two favourites overall since that time are Kyoto and Avignon in CDG Incense series. I really like Sequoia a lot too, bit it makes me sneeze something fierce, so I can't wear it [pout]
