Thanks to Roberta, I now have the first season of Hamish MacBeth on DVD, and we watched the fist three episodes yesterday. Turns out, I'd never seen any of them. And I'm remembering why I really adore this show. First off, the Scottish locations around the Kyle of Lochalsh (A stunning place if you ever get a chance to visit. It's a place I wish I'd been able to spend more time at), then Robert Carlyle as Hamish. I was a fan from seeing him in HM long before his Full Monty and James Bond days. Then there's a great supporting cast, it's as quirky as all get out, and last but not least, 'Wee Jock".
If you ever get a chance to see this when it shows up on PBS, or BBCA, give it a look.
