So, I run a House M.D. list with about 1400 members. A few minutes ago, I get an email in the moderation queue with the following:

PLEASE DO NOT E-MAIL ME THIS JUNK ANYMORE I AM INTERSTED IN
THE THINGS YOU SEND HOWEVER YOU SEND WHY TO MUCH JUNK I DO
NOT HAVE TIME TO READ IT ALL AND DO NOT REALLY CARE TO
THANKS

And you joined an email list why?

And is it evil of me to want to toy with them for a bit first?

By all means, toy with them. Once someone sent a message to a yahoo groups ml I was on, you know, the ones with the unsubscribe info at the bottom of EVERY MESSAGE, saying, "How do I get off this mailing list?!"

Someone replied, "The same way you got on it, dear. You didn't get on it by immaculate subscription."

I don't think it's evil at all.

#1. They obviously don't get what a mailing list is all about.
#2. They wrote their request in all caps, which equates n00b, and there's a part of me that LOVES playing with the n00bs...
#3. I'm just in a snarky mood, so go for it!
