I have no idea where this came from! Damn! Well, for what it's worth, here's what he said [g]

Ah, Nicholas. The time we had together, before I staked him, was never an easy road. You see, Nicholas was spoiled. As a mortal, by a doting mother and sister, and as a vampire, by me and Janette. I admit that we allowed him more latitude than we should have. Always forgiving him, no matter the hurt he had caused. As it was in the beginning, so was it at the end. An end by my own hand at his request. The final blow. And I am not sure he realized in that moment what a hypocrite he was. If he had been more proficient, he would have brought Dr. Lambert across, giving himself what he denied me with Fluer. Never considering what his choices wrought on his family, on those who loved him. When it came to my son, it was always about him

[whew] I didn't want to come off like I was bashing Nick or anything. It was just one of those moments when the character actually just started talking. It was like I was taking notes [g]
