ithildin: (Japan - Autumn Leaves Geisha)
I played the icon meme on a few LJs, so here's my gigantinormous icon post of doom!

[livejournal.com profile] tygermama's choices:

This is from one of my favourite pieces of Michael Whelan art and is sort of my alter ego fantasy self.

Stitch in the office. Mostly used for work rant posts.

Janette, who always had the coolest clothes modern day and in the flashbacks on Forever Knight.

Cate Blanchett as Elizabeth I. Elizabeth was my heroine when I was a child, and I truly admire her.

Adam Cartwright from Bonanza. My first TV crush when I was five. This was made for me as a gift by [livejournal.com profile] bookaddict43 and one of the handful of icons I use that I didn't make myself.

The Ring of Brodgar on Orkney. Of the stone circles I've visited, this is probably my favourite, tied with Callanish on Lewis.

[livejournal.com profile] mischief5's choices:

I've always had a fascination with absinthe, even though I have yet to try any.

This was a character in an episode of Doctor Who set in the 30s, an era I love. [livejournal.com profile] ninjababe made some icons of her, and I snagged it.

My girl crush, Kate Walsh. This was from a photo taken at press junket for Grey's Anatomy a few years back. It's one of my 'HAPPY!' icons LOL

Also from a press junket, and also a 'HAPPY!' icon, except this one is Robert Downey Jr.. He just had the greatest expressions during the interview, and I made a whole set out of them.

[livejournal.com profile] pezgirl7's choices:

One of my newest, a crop from a painting of a girl sitting in front of the fire. She looks like she's a million miles away, imagining the life she might have had, if only. I guess it's my 'pensive' icon [g]

I love Japanese art, and I love bats. Best of both worlds!

A happy Ezra icon. Mostly I like it for the curvy effect on the candles behind him. It was an experiment and I liked the results.

I love the female body, and I love vintage photography, so this is another perfect blend. and I like the subtle art on the wall effect I got along with the colouring.

I've always had a fascination with absinthe, even though I have yet to try any.

One of the very first icons I ever made. Blends my love of Japanese styled art and the female form. I think it's a rather sexy icon.

[livejournal.com profile] pat_t's choices:

The Ring of Brodgar on Orkney. Of the stone circles I've visited, this is probably my favourite, tied with Callanish on Lewis.

My one Star Wars icon from my favourite of the three, The Empire Strikes Back movie poster.

Adam Cartwright was my first TV crush when I was five and this was a gift made for me by [livejournal.com profile] bookaddict43

Sara Palin's sexy red shoes from the morning she was named as McCain's running mate.

Methos sitting in the park in the rain just before Alexa finds him.

Everyone needs a cute kitten icon, and this is mine!

And last, but not least, [livejournal.com profile] shadadukal's choices!:

One from my batch of new Halloween icons - the flaming pumpkin!

The Ring of Brodgar on Orkney. Of the stone circles I've visited, this is probably my favourite, tied with Callanish on Lewis.

My one Merlin icon. I have something of a soft spot for Morgana/Uther, and this scene, where their cloaks twined together in the wind demanded an icon.

Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and Abigail Adams from the mini series 'John Adams'. I actually have a folder full of caps I want to make into icons from the series, but so far, I only have this one. The moment of sheer joy and friendship between these three in this scene is one of my favourites. And it's very bittersweet knowing what's to come.

My one Star Trek icon, of Uhura, made by [livejournal.com profile] ninjababe

Since people kept asking me who my character Charlotte looked like, I finally gave in and chose an early twentieth century opera singer, Lina Cavalieri, as 'her'. she was painted and photographed a lot, and in costumes from various eras. I have a set of 'Charlotte' icons, and this is one of them.
