THE INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Leave me a comment saying anything random--like your favorite kind of sandwich or something you remember from long ago or something you bet I didn't know. Something random. Whatever you like.
2. I respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in the post.
5. It will go on and on and on and that is what makes it a meme!

[livejournal.com profile] beeej asked:

1.When you were a kid, did you watch Saturday morning television? What were your favorite shows/cartoons?
Old fashioned Looney Tunes, though there was a live action Sat. morning show called 'Space Academy' that I liked, along with 'Land of the Lost'.

2.What's your favorite snack food?
Cheese!

3.What job would you never, ever want to have?
Prison guard.

4.If you suddenly become uber rich, like say, $50 million dollars rich, what's the first thing you would buy?
A house.

5.What one historical event would you like to go back in time and be present at?
This is a hard one! So many things to choose... Well, being at the signing of the Declaration of Arbroath would be cool, or the speech Elizabeth I gave to her troops before the Spanish Armada. But how about attending an actual Glenn Miller concert during WWII? I'll go with that, I think. Not really a historical event, but something I'd do if I had a TARDIS :)

I loved Land of the Lost! Good answer on the "historical event" question, too.

This is a fun meme. My random fact about me: I never learned how to ride a bicycle.

A Glenn Miller concert with a nice young man who can dance :)

You think it's fun now, but wait till you have to answer my stupid questions! [g]

1: Of the books you've written, which one is your sentimental favourite?

2: Which one place in Middle Earth would you most like to visit?

3: What's your favourite dinner?

4: If you could ask a historical figure one question, who would it be and what would be the question?

5: Somebody gives you airline tickets. What destination would you want to see on them?

Date: 2007-08-01 07:42 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] eldritchhobbit.livejournal.com
Oh wow - these are smart questions! And that's no fair, since I'm in the process of dumbening, I think. ;) I'll give these some thought and post my replies on my LJ tonight or tomorrow morning at the latest. Thank you! :)

Hee! You were first, so you got the cream of the question crop -- such as it is [g] Now I'll be reduced to, 'what's your favourite colour?' for everyone else!

Look forward to your answers when you get to them :)

Supposedly, yeah. There's been talk of one in development, but I've never seen any actual, concrete evidence. I'd go see it!

Hmm. Random fact: My mother used to feed me peanut butter and mayo sandwiches when I was a child.

Hmmm....

1: Which historical vessel would you most like to sail on?

2: If you had to live in the fictional universe of a book/movie/TV show, which would it be?

3: Would you rather own your own tropical island or castle?

4: You can switch places with anyone, anywhere, anytime, for one day. Pick the person.

5: Other than PB and mayo, what's your favourite sandwich?

Mmm. Land of the Lost was good, but Kimba was my favorite as a kid. Still think Disney's the Lion King ripped it off big time.

Random stuff, My mom got us to eat Tuna Fish as kids by putting whole potato chips in the sandwich. To this day I still put chips in the sandwich when I eat Tuna.

1: What chips are your favorite?

Lays regular chips.

2: If you didn't have to cook dinner for your entire family on Xmas, where would you go for the holiday if you were spending the holiday away?

Tough, most likely some mountain retreat skiing. Christmas has to have snow.

3: Which three books would you take to a desert island?

Not in order of preference, but The Secret Garden, Bible, and some guide to surviving on a desert island so I would live long enough to read the others.

4: Pie or cake?

Pie.

5: Favourite flower?

Yellow Rose.

My guess is your books would be the LOtR trilogy.

I always thought so. Someone recently told me otherwise. Nice to know they were wrong and not me.
