Anyone else notice how similar the IM III and the new Star Trek movie trailer were in tone and theme, right down to the villain voiceover. I think we're looking at a summer of movie angst :D
Yeah, I've seen several people commenting on the similarity in threads analyzing the Trek trailer. Some people were annoyed that it looks too much like a generic action movie and not enough like Star Trek, but I'm withholding judgment -- knowing J.J. Abrams, I think the trailer is likely misleading on purpose. :)
Well... I also noticed that the IMIII trailer reminded me EXPLICITLY of the Dark Knight Rises trailer. "They call me a madman... I am a teacher... ... ... and only when your precious New York City has been torn down and burned to *ash*... then you have my permission to die."
I found the Trek trailer more like the Dark Knight trailer from a few years back.
Either way, a trailer is completely made by seller people,marketing, not actual movie producers.
