I have two tickets to the University of Utah's Tanner Humanities Center showing of Coriolanus on Feb. 22!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is just five hours away :D It's a noon screening, so will have to go up Friday after work. Fingers crossed it's not snowing through the mountain passes. Maybe we should get chains just in case.

OMG, that's dedication! The cinema I went to see it at was 10min away by bus and I could've walked there in less than 40mins if I wanted to.

People here go to Salt Lake City and back in a day, but I'm lazy LOL

5h trip is far from lazy!! I'm lazy!

I think there's a reason why I prefer living in a city. I'm too lazy to travel far to do stuff like that, if I live in a country town, I'd either turn into a legit hermit or be bored to death for not being able to go to the theatres/shows etc.

It's just the distances between things here. Takes 8+ hours to cross California, and that's the width, not the length (and god, I hate that drive!). So driving 5 hours to see a movie, or go shopping isn't that big a deal if you live in the western U.S.. On the other hand, my east coast friend always tells us she could be in Canada by now :D This is all an excellent excuse for a weekend of eating, drinking, and Tom.

Oh, I know about distance! Its the same in Australia and we're about the same size as the US. Which is why I live in a major city back in Aust as well, and anything involving even the suburbs is considered too far for me. Mind you, I don't drive, and public transport beyond the inner city is crap, so there's that.
