Picked the last of the Anaheims yesterday, then bro got a wood fire going in the bbq grill. Charred them all up really nice, then did some onions so as not to waste the fire. Wish I'd had some hot dogs or burgers! Also got my sourdough started going. Today, I'm baking the sugar pumpkin for pie, and I planted the seeds from it all over the property--will be SURPRISE! come spring :D
We're getting a produce/dairy basket this year from Red Acre Farm CSA this year. It's got so many goodies it'll last till near Xmas. I have to keep reminding myself to cut down on the food this Thanksgiving, since my father ate like two people, and he's gone now. I have a hard time cooking small, I've discovered.
I contacted LJ last week and had Tammy's journal set to memorial status. I cried a lot sending that email.
From Thanksgiving, we go straight into Nin;s birthday week -- yeah, she gets a week :) We're going to, where else, Disneyland, and Jen's joining us. Really looking forward to it.
