Nin is Ith's slave ninja. She keeps her pinned in the yard, so she needs french doors so she can keep an eye on her.

Ahh. Now it makes sense! And french doors are definitely the way to go to keep an eye on your pinned ninja slave. A screen door just wouldn't cut it. But a glass sliding door is not without it benefits.

You may also like to know that Nin can be purchased but not for less than a whole herd of goats, three camels, and a spotted pony. The pony, however, must be shoe'd and halter-broken.
