I'ze Got Cold, Let Me Show You It

Guess who's sick? Yep. I was feeling a little off yesterday, bit figured it would go away. Oh no. By 10pm I had a wretched sore throat, I'd really started to ache, and I was all stuffed up. Just had an awful night's sleep. Nin's boozy brandy grog sure helped last night, maybe I'll have more of that! We were going to church tonight, but not now. don't want to spread my germs all over the congregation.

[sighs] I finally take Xmas Eve off as a vacation day, and I get sick!! That'll learn me.

Okay, some more tea, then I need to make brunch. Hashbrown casserole and sausage gravy wait for no cold.

One year, I was sick on Christmas day; I felt lousy and everyone else was having fun while I was stuck in bed. :/

I used to almost always be sick over Christmas. I think I picked up germs from the hotel guests I was checking in. Once I switched jobs, it pretty much stopped happening. Oh well.

Why is it we always seem to get sick during holidays? I think we run around doing too much in the days leading up to it. *sigh* My sick time was immediately following Thanksgiving this year. So far I feel fine at the moment - although my skin is having the nasties. I blame the chocolate.

We have two people on medication in our house and it has gotten so bad that I have been allowed to cook.

{hugs} Say "Hi" to Mister Bingley for me. Christmas is our "open all the DVDs I've purchased since September" time. We are currently watching a "Spark of Insanity".

Must be that time of year. I suppose it's better to be sick now as opposed to ten dats from now when I'm on vacation.

Hope the cooking goes well! I'm allowing Nin to cook, and so far, so good :)
