Just Two Days...

and I'm on vacation! Yay! Can't wait to see my mum, and the kitties, and the dog. Got everyones presents wrapped yesterday as well, so we're close to being set, other than packing. And I still need to make a hotel reservation for Vegas next week. It was very cool to discover there's now a Sheraton there! I hate spending money on a hotel that I don't get any points from, so I always try to stay at a Starwood or Hilton property. Turns out the Sheraton/Hard Rock is what used to be the Aladdin, which is the one with the shopping mall, which is the one we wanted to stay at to begin with!

Our belated Xmas dinner last night was a good one, lovely bit of beef it was.

It's still pretty quiet at work today, which is fine because I'm sleepy. Started coughing again last night, and when I wasn't coughing, I could hear Nin coughing in her room.

Glad to hear you're almost ready but sorry to hear you're both fighting the cough. Hope you have a wonderful time during your vacation.

We're going to be looking at staying at a nearby Hilton, mainly because of the points plus better deals with a massage package. *g*

Oh, sorry, I mean a reservation for Vegas for this Wednesday [g] My parents live two hours away and we're taking mum down for an overnight gambling trip.

Yeah, I'm with you on the points! That's how we were able to afford to go to Philadelphia. I'd been saving Hilton and Sheraton points for years, and had enough to cover three of the five nights we were there.

We're going to see what we can do for the reservation, but the cool thing is if they take Discover, we're going to end up with extra cashback bonus because of it too.

Yeah, I kind of figured that's where your mind was :) It's a little too far away for me to be excited about it yet. It's just sort of a potential event I'll more than likely attend should the planets align correctly [g]

I hope you'll be there. I want to meet as many of my PWFC friends as possible. Of course, I also want to enjoy a weekend far away from home to celebrate the anniversary with the Welshman. The con starts 8 days after our anniversary and we haven't done anything special for it in several years. I must make sure to get a photo of me between the two Welshmen. *g*
