That was actually kinda good...

I'm not much of a James Marsters fan, and that jacket he was wearing made me think he should be collecting tickets at a 1940s cinema, but I actually quite enjoyed the episode. I even liked everyone! Not much to say beyond that. It was fun in a popcorn sort of way, and that's quite sufficient.

Oh, and that silver butler tray Ianto had him put his weapons on cracked me up!

Thanks Ith, for the chance to see it early. I liked it too, as you say, in a popcorn sort of way. I'm hoping Ianto is less of a one man pity party this season, and more the type of man Jack would conceivably be interested in, but we'll see. He was better in this ep than he was last season, so there's hope.

I laughed as soon as Masterson appeared in the rift and hubs groaned and mourned "Not another one. He's going to kiss this one too, isn't he?" Like that one was hard to predict!

And I quite agree with you about missing the squee.
