Not Again

I think I'm getting sick -- again! My coworker has been sick, and yesterday, I told him to go to the doctor becuase his cough sounded like he was heading for bronchitis/pneumonia territory -- if he wasn't already there. Today, he called in sick. However, I think I may have picked up his germs. My throat is sore and woolly, and I'm beginning to cough. At least tomorrow's Friday [sigh]I loaded up on selenium this morning, so maybe that will help ward it off. And I should break out the elderberry syrup I suppose [shudder] I hate the taste!

I went to the dentist this morning to get the permanent filling on the root canal crown/tooth. Easiest stress free appointment ever because no injection!

And we're in day eight of nearly constant rain. I'm soggy.

Off to do payroll.

One word: Zicam.

It works. I sing for a living, so a head cold is *DEATH* and can put me totally out of commission and out of WORK. I haven't had a cold last for more than 3 days in almost 3 years because I use the stuff even if I have been exposed to someone with the sniffles, and certainly if I feel anything coming on. Even if you've already caught it, it will cut the sick-time in HALF.

Warning: If you use the nasal spray version, do NOT sniff it into your sinuses. That is BAD. It's just supposed to be absorbed through the mucus membranes of your nose. It truly gives a big boost to your immune system.

Yeah, that's why I take elderberry extract and extra selenium, it usually takes days off being sick, which is good, because otherwise I end up with pneumonia. I have crappy lungs. Bleah.

Hope you're not getting ill again. It's time for those germs to leave you alone, dammit. Not raining here, but we do have long spells when it does. Cold now - 25 F.
