I've really been wanting an actual series name for my Grey's Anatomy/Highlander, soon to be just Highlander series. There's five of them now, with six on the way, and I'm tired of using what was supposed to be the temporary catchall of 'The Emily Stories'. I've considered using the title of the first story, 'Irreconcilable Differences', but it seems kind of long: The Irreconcilable Differences Series. See what I mean? So I've been mentally tossing ideas around. I've always said the series is mostly about the price of immortality, something that's always interested me in regards to Highlander and Forever Knight, and to a certain extent, the Elves in Lord of the Rings.

That being said, how does 'Forever's Price' sound? Or 'Forever's Toll'. 'The Forever Price'? If something comes to mind that is in a similar vein, I'm all ears, or eyes, as the case may be.

Oh, and you Duncan fans may be happy to know that he is the major character in the next one. No Methos at all. And a new OMC due to make an appearance as well.

Later: The List
'The Forever Price'
'Forever's Price'
'Abandon Forever'
'A Life Goes By'
'Beyond Thunderdome'
'Eternity's Toll'
'Who Wants to Live Forever?'
'A Taint of Eternity'
'What Price Forever?'
'The Price of Forever'

If you're leaning in that direction, what about "Eternity's Toll"?

At the risk of long-winded plagiarism: "Who Wants to Live Forever?" :)

There's a story in Gaelic I once read called Èirig Fhinn which means Finn's Reparation in Scottish Gaelic although it's also been translated as Finn's Revenge. In the story, someone does something to Finn MacCool, the great Celtic hero - steals his wisdom teeth by which he uses to access the knowledge he gained from eating the flesh of the salmon of knowledge. Finn goes to get his teeth back, but ... well, it's actually a chance-met companion who regains the teeth and wins the fair princess.

So, if you want to be obscure, you could go with Èirig Dhonnachaidh, or Duncan's Reparation. Or even Èirigean, Reparations.

Or not.

(totally off the wall, but I didn't learn about Finn McCool until long after I knew Charlie Brown. So I see him as a version of Snoopy as Joe Cool - in a kilt with a big sword with a black leather jacket and dark glasses.)

Duncan has never been in any of the stories, so there's really nothing Scottish about them. But it's very cool sounding! Will have to make a mental note for some future series!

How about a slight variation on The Forever Price thing... 'The Price of Forever'

If you want a silly suggestion for something 'How do you pay the Ferryman when you can't get off the boat?'
