Like that's a surprise.

Americans love mobile phones more than Internet: study

Americans would find it harder to part with their mobile phones than the Internet, television or landline telephones, according to a survey released Wednesday.

Nuh uh! I have no attachment to my cell phone whatsoever and would give it up over the internet or TV any day. I probably use my cell phone once or twice a month, more on vacations. But the internet? [HUGS] Nope, not giving that up!

Later the next day: Judging from the comments, the people who did this survey obviously didn't talk to anyone with an LJ! [g]

I was just discussing this with someone yesterday. I go for days not even knowing where my mobile phone is much less if it is charged. I use the thing once a week (if that) and I would rather not even own the thing. I must have it due to our business, and I've found it helpful when I take long car trips alone, but for the most part I think the things are evil. Land line phone I might be able to live without. I don't use it much either. What I'd miss there is my voicemail function. I really just don't even answer the thing. TV or Internet, however, I would become twitchy -- in fact DO become twitchy -- in an hour or so.

I really hate mobile phones and all those folks talking while driving or in classes or saying personal stuff loudly on the bus. It's just crazy!
