Instead of the regularly scheduled mostly weekly Highlander episode discussion, I'm going to do something else Highlander related. In talking with Pat this morning, I realized I'd never participated/seen a Highlander friending meme. Obviously, there was only one option!

Below the cut, you'll find the nicely formatted questions in a table, so all you have to do is copy and paste it into the comments and supply your answers. You only need to reply to the questions you want to. Hopefully, we'll all meet some new people, or get to know people we've seen around in other people's comments a little better.

How long have you been a fan?:
Since the show first ran in 1992. Became obsessed a huge fan in 2000 when I was sick at home for 2 months and fell in love with it all over again during Sci Fi reruns.

Three eps you'd show to a new viewer?:
Now that is tough. Because you can't really introduce the Methos (such as CAH Methos) if they don't know who Adam is. So, definitely Methos. And The Gathering because it is so important in explaining the universe and meeting Duncan, Tessa and Richie. And thirdly, gosh that's really hard. Maybe The Watchers so you could meet Joe.

Ever been to a HL con or event?:
A few. I went to Sydney in 2005 and The Walkabout in 2004. I went to Leeds in 2006 as well as the Scotland tour. I went to Vancouver in 2007. I've also attended all the PWFC events except the first one in Reno.

Favourite pairings?:
Duncan/Methos

Favourite characters?:
Duncan, Methos, Joe, Tessa, Amanda, Fitz, Darius, James Horton because he was an awesome bad guy. And Connor.

Favourite episodes?:
Too many to list. It would be a shorter list for the ones that disappointed me. But even those had something I liked in them, even if it was just that Duncan looked great - like "The Zone."

Favourite quickening?:
Comes A Horsemen

Favourite flashback?:
CAH and Rev, of course. I also liked the flashback when Duncan met Fitz and the one where he met Kyra because it was funny and sexy.

Gosh, so many. Patty and I were just talking about two of these: Somewhere in Time, DeathTrap. I also love Primal Fear, To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar. Ghost, Titanic, Sixth Sense.

I'm really into the Patricia Cornwell Scarpetta series.

I'm fascinated with the reality of immortality and what it takes to sustain real relationships with other immortals, so a great deal of my fic deals with those questions in some form or another. Most of what I write, even the crossovers are Methos-centric. A new foray for me is writhing in the Queen of Swords universe, which has been a real joy. Other than Highlander, I write in the Forever Knight universe.

How long have you been a fan?: Since 1995, although I've only been active in the fandom for a couple of years.

Three eps you'd show to a new viewer?: When I set out to ensnare my best friend, I started with the movie, "The Gathering," and "The Hunters." If I were being less chronological about it, I might go with "For Evil's Sake" (for the Parisian flavor), "The Samurai," and "Chivalry."

Ever been to a HL con or event?: No.

Favourite characters and/or pairings?: Methos is my favorite favorite, but I love all the regulars. As for pairings, there could always stand to be more Methos/Byron and Methos/Amanda in the world.
