Instead of the regularly scheduled mostly weekly Highlander episode discussion, I'm going to do something else Highlander related. In talking with Pat this morning, I realized I'd never participated/seen a Highlander friending meme. Obviously, there was only one option!

Below the cut, you'll find the nicely formatted questions in a table, so all you have to do is copy and paste it into the comments and supply your answers. You only need to reply to the questions you want to. Hopefully, we'll all meet some new people, or get to know people we've seen around in other people's comments a little better.

Highlander Stuff
How long have you been a fan?: Since 1995, although I've only been active in the fandom for a couple of years.

Three eps you'd show to a new viewer?: When I set out to ensnare my best friend, I started with the movie, "The Gathering," and "The Hunters." If I were being less chronological about it, I might go with "For Evil's Sake" (for the Parisian flavor), "The Samurai," and "Chivalry."

Ever been to a HL con or event?: No.

Favourite characters and/or pairings?: Methos is my favorite favorite, but I love all the regulars. As for pairings, there could always stand to be more Methos/Byron and Methos/Amanda in the world.

Favourite episodes?: "Chivalry," "Till Death," "The Modern Prometheus," lots more

Favourite quickening?: "Indiscretions"

Favourite flashback?: I'll go with Duncan and Tessa's first meeting, since nobody's mentioned it yet. They're so adorable. :)

Being Creative
Read/write fic or make vids?: Fic, yes. Vids, no.

Rec a fic/vid you love: Living Water by Sylvia Volk — Methos crosses the desert with his charmingly characterized young wife.

Rec a fic/vid of your own: Storms in the Desert — a crossover with Firefly.

Favourite writers/vidders?: Nutmeg9cat, Amand-r, Kat Allison, amonitrate, Sandra McDonald, lots of others. Killa for vids. And I've been finding some great vids on YouTube lately, although it takes some hunting.

Alternate Fandom Stuff
Shows you watch which are still in production?: Lost (oh, and Smallville, technically, but I've ignored everything since S3 ended)

Shows you loved that aren't on anymore?: Quantum Leap, Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Northern Exposure, Veronica Mars, X-Files, various Star Treks... etc.

Other fandoms you are involved in?: None, at the moment. I used to be pretty involved in Power Rangers, Quantum Leap, and The Beatles.

All About You!
Favourite actors/actresses?: I'm in it for the characters, mostly. But I love Robin Williams and Harrison Ford, and I'd watch anything with Peter Wingfield in it.

Favourite music?: The Beatles. Beyond that, my tastes are pretty eclectic.

Favourite movies?: What Dreams May Come, Help!, Ghostbusters, The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars

Favourite books?: The Juniper Game by Sherryl Jordan, anything by Joseph Campbell

Thanks! I hope to write a sequel one day, but whenever I try to figure out what Methos thought of the whole thing, he just gets evasive and starts talking about his favorite foods. :)
