Blake's 7 poised for Sky comeback

I'm always leery when they say they're going to remake a show, especially when it's a show that's one of my top five favourites ever, but it would be cool if they could do a decent job of it.

Never saw it for some reason but I have a question for you ... what is YOUR dream casting? If you were to re-cast it, using known actors (which I am sure they will not) who would you pick?

You know, I'm honestly not that familiar with a lot of actors /actresses, so I'm not sure I could cast it. Plus, I'd have to stick with UK actors, and I'm even less familiar with them. The only one I could pick off the top of my head would be Peter for Avon, because he'd be absolutely perfect. I've always thought that.

But I'll ponder and see if I can come up with anyone else :)

Well, I know that Blake's 7 productions was trying to get a '20 years later' storyline off the ground, with guest appearances from Paul Darrow, but this seems to be a new thing altogether. I think I'll remain optimistic until shown differently :-)

From what it says here, it sounds like it is one of the versions that was discussed a few years ago. However, the likelihood that Paul Darrow will have anything to do with it is close to nil.

Here is what B7 Media has to say about it.

Unfortunately I don't have very high hopes. Although a 'sequel' would be better than a remake. For me the cast is what makes it such a good show. I wouldn't be able to bring myself to watch those characters played by other actors. The thought makes me bit sick.
