Step one in my anti-shyness therapy has been completed! It's a specially patented [livejournal.com profile] pat_t course of treatment. My heart is only going a little too fast right now, nervous nelly that I am :)

of course, you do realize many of your HL sisters squee quite a bit over two gorgeous men loving one another. But we'll be very discreet in public. Most of the time. Usually. Well - sometimes.

Hee, in Vancouver we were at dinner and talking about all the sights we had seen. And i was talking about the bridge where Peter had thrown Cassandra off and we had seen the building where he threw the woman off the roof in Just Cause. And as we're talking about it - you know - "and he threw that woman off that roof" - we realized that other diners (the tables were close) were listening to us and didn't realize we were talking about actors. *g*

I'm not kidding when I say 99.9% of my friends are slashers. I spent a week in a condo in Cape Cod with a bunch of them [g] Nin slashes everything in sight. You guys can't be worse than they are [g] I'm virtually unshockable. The fist zine I helped my SF club out out when I was a teenager was called 'Spock in Chains' -- mostly slash and some het, but the cover was Spock with Xmas tree chains wrapped around him.

A friend of mine, who used to be in the PWFC (all my friends have since droped out of the club, so there's only me left now) does not have an 'indoor voice'. We'd met half way between the two of us for a weekend in Ventura. We all go into this little deli for lunch, of course, we're ralking Highlander. She starts on the subject of quickenings, complete with references to orgasms and before she was done, the entire place was staring at us. I couldn't even crawl under the table since the table was a wine barrel [g]

you saying that reminds me of something I wondered about. Peter has lost so many out of his fanclub in the past few years - do you know why? Have people just moved on because they were bored? Or something else?

He's such a good actor and such a nice man. Just wondering.

Well, I can't speak for everyone, but speaking for myself as a lapsed PWFCer I just fell behind on my dues and never caught back up. It isn't like I love Peter any less. I picked up my third autograph from in Leeds in March. It was the first time I'd flown, and it included a transatlantic flight. I love him.

I totally understand. While the idea of Methos/Wesley(Buffy) slash may make my head hurt I've done Methos/Wes photomanips for a friend that writes that slash pairing. I don't have any problem being friends with slashers. I just prefer het.
