I know I have f'listees who are members, and I was looking at the site this morning. Thinking of signing up. Like I need another 'thing' to keep up with!

I use Good Reads mostly to keep track of which books I own. So in case of fire, I'll be able to track them down.

And it's nice to know if I have a book "in stock", or if I need to find it at the library ;)

I do LibraryThing to keep track of the books I own and I have my book LJ, but I've looked at goodreads and shelfari but just haven't decided yet :)

I still say we should get one of those UPC reader programs (http://www.intelliscanner.com/products/media/index.html). You scan the UPC, it adds all the info to the database. Much easier than typing stuff in by hand... :)

And, it's for books, CDs, DVDs... Basically, anything with a barcode.

They even have a version where you can add scanner labels to stuff to keep track of it when it goes 'walking'... :)

I have an account on Goodreads and I really like it. I update it as I can and have only been adding books as I read, I did not go back and try to document all my books, I am having enough trouble doing that with my DVD's.

Great minds think alike, obviously. I started up my list, last week, on Library Thing (http://www.librarything.com/catalog/jinxed_wood) - it's going to take me forever to finish, thought - have I ever mentioned that I'm a bookworm that hoards? I've got over 200 books listed, so far, and I've barely made a dent into my collection (Which, I fear, may be in the four figures...)
