Awwww. It's so sad when animals get left behind. I'm really glad these people are out there doing this. I was telling Chuck the other day, if we ever had to evacuate, the kitties would be the first thing I'd grab. :)
The news always seems to forget the fact that animals die in these horrible events, so it's nice to see animal organizations out there, trying to save them.
They had a blurb on the news the other day of HUNDREDS of deer blocking the road in a flooded area as they tried to get to higher ground. These floods are a hideous business. (Meanwhile, in the Southeast, we're on Year 4 of the Drought From Hell. Go figure.)
