*Groans.* RTD has replaced my childhood love of the daleks with an urge to do something violent to him when I hear one. I'd try watching the episode without sound, but then I wouldn't be able to hear Jack, or Martha, or Sarah Jane...
dude, the daleks have scared the crap out of me ever since I was a little kid (although i didn't hide behind the sofa I DID hide behind the stairs...). I used to think the Doctor Who was a horror series, not a sci-fi. I'd be like," no, mom and dad, I don't WANT to watch the scary show! I wanna watch [care bears or some garbage like that]!"
