Actual Plans!

ninjababe wants to see Dark Knight tomorrow, and I just found out that the cinema in Pacific Grove has reopened. So that means we can have dinner at our fave Mexican place (owned by a former coworker of Nin's ) and Nin can have a few wine margarita's and then we can walk up to the movie. That should be fun! We're going to stop at the mall first, so I can use my free birthday sundae coupon from Cold Stone -- yes, we're doing dessert first!

Tonight, Nin's at work, so I'm planning the premier of General Hospital: Night Shift, on SoapNet, and 'I Survived a Japanese Game Show' for entertainment. I seem to have burned out on the writing front. Inevitable, I suppose. I'd hoped to sustain the wave for a bit longer though. Hopefully, it won't last long. I have so many fics I want to write.

Oh, and this week's topic over at ironman_lounge is Comicverse to Movieverse. Check it out! Maybe? Please?

I was just trying to find that info on soapnet's website. You'd think that info on what episodes aired when would be fairly prominent, wouldn't you? Apparently, not so much. :P

Well, see, I don't watch Night Shift. But I have been, at various times in my life, addicted to GH, so I know a lot of the characters, and I saw that Jagger was coming back! \o/

I watch GH every day. Yes, I'll admit it [g] I'm squeeful about this season because JAGGER! and ROBERT! Okay, Robert gets the major squee. When I was a younger gal, I had such a thing for Robert Scorpio! At the same time, I feel ancient, because I remember when Robin was 5.

Last season wasn't bad, but it was like an AU. whatever happened on NS didn't happen on GH. Totally stupid, I thought. This season, the two shows are related, so it shouldn't make my brain hurt :)

I think I originally started watching during the Leslie/Rick/Monica era. When Laura was married to Scotty, even. And then there was the whole Luke & Laura thing. I called in sick the day they got married. ;) I dropped off at some point, but wandered back in when Luke & Laura showed back up, and fell in love with Ned & Lois. I don't remember exactly why or when I stopped watching that time. It was just so hard to keep up with a daily show, especially in VHS days. I figure I can manage the Night Shift, especially now that technology is better.

My mum watched it from day one. It started the same year I was born. I started watching during the Luke/Holly days. They filmed in Victoria, where we lived at the time, so I watched to see it. I got hooked.

I loved Ned and Lois!

There aspects of the show I still like, but in many ways, it's more fond habit. And I can blow through an ep in half an hour more or less, so it's fairly easy to keep up :)

FYI: Laura's' coming back to GH.

She's supposed to be in a permanent catatonic state. But, it's a soap, and Genie Francis has agreed to come back, so she gets better [g] and I actually like Tracy, who's married to Luke. She's actually his age! He tricked her into marrying him when she was drunk during one of his schemes, and along the way, they fell in love. albeit a rather nutty twisted sort of love :)

Sometimes the subconscious just wants a rest. I'm at that point at the moment...

I'm going to wait another week or two to see Dark Knight, just until the lines go down. I may treat myself on a Friday night while D is off to Pennsic.
