A question for all the vidders on my f'list: what programs do you use? A friend of mine has just started vidding, and any information you could toss her way would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0. I think there's a newer version some people are using now. And lots of people use a program called Final Cut Pro.

Granted, I don't vid much, but I use Sony Vegas. A lot of vidders I know do as well.

Adobe Premiere Elements. I've just upgraded by 2 whole numbers, and I'm trying to figure out the new bells and whistles.

a bonus feature of WMM (built in) is that it auto-saves every few minutes, after its been on for a minimum of 15 minutes.

Not for actual vidding, but I like to use VirtualDub to chop out selected scenes from an ep and save them as a single clip without re-encoding. Really saves me the hassle of hunting around for the scenes when working in Premiere.
