Since everyone seems to be doing them!

I can virtually guarantee there will be no political content on my LJ. I might have something to say the morning after election day, or not, but that's about the extent of it. At the most, you may see me mentioning I put in some volunteer hours at campaign headquarters. But those posts, should they happen, will be mercifully detail free.

As for political posts on my f'list -- passion is awesome! I'm passionate about the subject myself. I just happen to have other places on the internet to vent my spleen. I may not agree with you, and goodness knows, the majority of my f'list is totally on the other side of the political fence from me, but I think it's a good thing when people care enough to be involved. If Mary Matalin and James Carville can have a happy marriage, I think I can manage keeping my friends list uncut through the election. That's what scroll keys are for [g]

That marriage still weirds me out.

Love conquers all?

And yet, they really are an adorable couple. I saw them speak together locally a few years back. Much fun!

I dunno. This is skirting awfully close to making entirely too much sense for an election season. I'm sure there's some sort of law against it...

[hangs head] I'll try and do better in future.

I actually really appreciate this. There are so many other things I'd prefer to argue or debate with people about other than politics. Not that I think I'd be arguing with you, because most of *my* flist has the opposite views of me, which may mean you and I have similar views. XD Plus, I try to be really nice about my views on somebody elses' journal, 'cause it would be like telling them they are wrong in their own house.

Amen sister! I think all three of us are in the same boat. Most of my flist is so very much the opposite of me. And I believe that people can write whatever they want in their own journal, but recently, the blatant rudeness and intolerance on my flist is making me just filter madly. When the election is over, they'll be my regular friends again, I just know it.

Viva la differance!!!

Ok, so my French spelling sucks, but you get the point :) If I do a political rant I tend to put them under cuts anyway. Mostly I'm on LJ for fun!!

I got to see Carville and Matalin speak a few years back. I really enjoyed that. It was interesting to hear what they had to say from a completely personal view.
