ithildin: (Bloom No More)
Thank you for putting up with my black mood last night. Things just sort of overwhelmed me, and since I was sitting home alone with no one to talk to, I 'talked' on my journal. Which might or might not be such a good idea depending :) But I'm better this morning -- I've put some mental space between me and what triggered my feelings last night. I shoved everything back into its little mental box and will try and keep the lid on it for the forseeable future! And I'll attempt to not 'talk' on my journal too much either :) I'll try ranting to the cat instead!

First, I need to give you ranting lessons if you call yesterday's post a rant. Also, this is the place to let it all out . So talk away. Do not keep thing in. That only leads to problems. We are here to listen.

Heh, sure qualifies for my family :)

That explains why the English are considered cultured and restrained and the Italians hot blooded and passionate.

In my family, your post doesn't even rise to talking loud.

You need to get the hands moving, body language going and blood boiling before you even get to ire. For a rant well, things need to fly. And a full blown tantrum - well! You would not need to post, they can hear you across the country.

Got to love Mediterranean communication. Of course, these things are mostly and an excuse to have something to "make up" for.

*g* English + French = restrained to raging in 0.2 seconds.. keeps hubby on his toes, but he does seem to love the French half :)

Ref the 'talking', that's what a blog's for isn't it? You stick you want in it, happy or sad.

I bet it keeps him on his toes! I'm all English and Scottish. My temper is from the Scots side no doubt :)

[gazes at the lovely smelly cheese]Hey, maybe that's what my birthday dinner should be! I told Nin she has to cook dinner for me this one time, but I do want to actually eat something edible [weg] And I love a variety of smelly cheeses and fresh baguettes, and red wine of course.

Sounds like a plan. Something different, fun and for you because you want it. Now I think you are getting in the spirit.

Oh, it's not different, it's something we have for dinner occasionally. I figure it will be better than expecting her to actually cook something.

For me, that sort of thing indicates that things are out of control and bad things could happen. I find it paralyzing when involved in something that emotionally charged.

Actually it is the opposite. I frees you. Do you know how sometimes you just need a good cry to let things out? Well getting good and proper mad works too! You rant, rave, yell, shout, storm etc., and when it is over you are refreshed because all has been said. Very catharsis.

I'm sure it is for you, but for me, the way I was raised, people only get like that when terrible things have happened or are going to.
