So, according to the mechanic, it's going to cost us $1500.00 more to fix what's wrong, this in addition to the $400 we spent yesterday. Just perfect. Nin's going to see our regular mechanic on Monday for his opinion and am hoping he'll think we can a few more thousand miles out of it before we need most of the work done.

:( I'm sorry car trouble sucks, and it's hard if you don't have a good mechanic you trust. We'd been going to a guy since we moved to Rochester-like 5 years ago and followed him to several new locations because we liked him so much-he was nice and honest. Sadly he left the company all together a while ago, apparently he'd mentioned to my dad previously he was thinking about leaving because the higher ups (he was a store manger) were telling him to do repairs people didn't need and shit-which really makes me sad, like it's so mean and dishonest and it scares me for when I move away and have to find a mechanic on my own-how do I do it? How do I know they aren't being jack asses because I'm a female etc? Right now I have my dad. We've found a new mechanic though who is very nice. I'm glad our old guy got out of it though-I think he was a certified electrician so he went into that...he is so nice and honest and really hated to cheat people-I think he would be honest with regular customers like us but then the random people he'd do the needless stuff with...or just not be completely upfront..like when I needed all these repairs he listed them in order of importance and said A should be done right away but D could wait a while etc.

Anyway I'll stop, I'm practically writing a damn essay-point is I wish you the best of luck with the car and mechanics
