ithildin | The Bleak Midwinter

We have been deluged with rain starting about 3am, along with very strong winds. I keep thinking how much snow that's going to translate into for those of you farther north! As long as we don't loose power while the roast is in the oven!

We talked to my mum last night, she'd really hoped we'd be there this Xmas. This is the sixth one in a row we've been apart. But next year for sure! Then Nin and I opened our gift to each other and after we watched 'Love Actually', and cried, and ate cheese and bread and drank a bottle of wine. I woke up this morning to the scent of mulled cider. Nin was up before me and made a batch of it. House smells yummy now!

Today, we're going watch Pride and Prejudice (the Colin Firth one) and I'll make Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding for dinner. And Nin and I are both online, so we're reading fic too [g] This whole both being off together on a holiday is bizarre!
