It's at 1200 words and I'm not even close to being finished! How in the hell did that happen? Can't I write a short, to the point ficlet anymore?

So it's safe to say this story's going to be way more than the one parter I planned on.

I envy your 1200 words. I can't do ANYTHING remotely short. I've started three stories with that intention, but they ballooned into multi-chapter epics. As this seems to be doing for you. If I could do something less than a thousand words, just ONCE, I'd feel accomplished a writer.

I seem to have lost the ficlet ability. Everything seems to end up being an epic. If I can keep this under 5000 words, I'll be surprised :)
