One thing I miss from when we lived in Canada is British food stuffs. Aero Bars, Digestive Biscuits, real Salt & Vinegar Crisps. Weetabix, Alpen, clotted cream, Cadbury Drinking Chocolate! So this place is always taunting me. I get my Bird's Custard Powder from them, so they send me email updates, and I always click and drool. and now, they have a free shipping offer going [weep] I could so do damage to my bank account.... I love clotted cream! But I'll confess, I have always thought the word "Weetabix" to be one of the funniest I have ever heard. Nothing wrong with the product, just a funny-ass word. -g-

Yes, it is a funny sounding name :) I loved putting milk on them as a kid and watching it soak up like a sponge.

In Australia and New Zealand they call the same product "Weetbix". Possibly more logical, but funny all the same (and 100% certain to trip up visiting Poms).

They also do this weird thing where the biscuit is sliced in half so you can spread margarine and honey on it. I have tried and failed to master this trick, but a taste test of hubby's creation didn't convert me.

Them folk down under bist strange :) They prefer Vegemite to Marmite. Nuff said.

LOL! here's a tip,, look for an Irish foodstore nearby (they have them in New York, I don't know if they have them in other parts of the states). Chances are, you'll find a lot of what you're looking for, there - definitely the Cadburys, Weetabix, and Tea, the crisps may be 'Tayto' but still very good!

Oh, the place I linked to is here in the US. I can even get a few items locally, but everything in one nice online shopping place is ever so tempting :) Tea, I get from a place in MA called Upton Tea. They're a tea importer that's some of the best I've had.

We have a Gaelic Shoppe in Cleveland and they carry all that stuff, and bagpipe supplies etc. You might want to look and see if you have something local to you. My shop will order stuff if they know I will buy it, and they end up selling it to other people too.

Also I am pretty close to canada (3 hours) and if there is something I need up there.. cyclamates for one thing.. I road trip up there about 4-6 times a year.

Our local long's Drugs carries some of it, but it's the all in one place and lots more stuff that tempts me :)

Well if I ever get back over to the States (where are you?) let me have a list and your wish is my command :)
