Formatting Issues

My brain needs reformatting. Heh. So that story -- I'm not sure how it should be formatted. I keep rearranging it and of course, it keeps getting longer. Initially, it was Methos in one place, looking back over a series of events that led to that place, no real dialogue. Now it's sort of that, but with sections of dialogue and events still leading back to where the story starts. I'm not sure which works better. Maybe I should just write it and rearrange the bits later if need be. I know, none of that makes any sense :)

So this is my punishment for procrastinating and fiddling around last night. Now this has turned into a much more involved long fic with journal entries alternating with flashbacks. Something totally different than I've ever tried writing.

If I'd just started writing when I finished dinner last night..! But oh no! [trudges away] God only knows what this will turn into before it's done.

Now I'm thinking that since this is turning into something a lot more involved than I intended, I really should finish 'Pines' first, or it'll never get done. Plus I should reread a few books in my collection to refresh some historical points before starting up.

That sounds familiar. I research like a mad thing, most of which never ends up in the fic or (worse) I forget the whole idea, sometimes in the middle of a monster WIP. Bad Soph. That's probably why I started RPing again: it keeps you on your toes :)

I've got a half-planned HL/Life on Mars (*points to icon*) fic eating my brain at the moment, hoping that it will actually make it to the keyboard. Need more plot and less fic-for-fic's sake, but it should get there in the end *fingers crossed* Early 1970s Manchester is not quite so remote, but strange all the same. It may involve a platform-wearing Methos with sideburns :)

It just started airing here on BBCA this week. First eppie is on the DVR. So by the time you write the story, I'll actually know what the heck is going on :)
