ithildin: (Nature - Wolf)
Is how I currently feel right now. Guess who got food poisoning and is sitting in the condo while everyone else is out looking for wolves in the park? Yes! You win! The only upside is that I thought my dinner tasted odd and didn't eat more than a third of it, otherwise, I would have probably been a whole lot sicker. Funnily enough, when we were sitting around after dinner, I was eating cheese and crackers and said if I'd known how bad my meal was going to be (chicken fried steak -- my favourite!), I would have stayed here and ad cheese for dinner! Little did I know I really should have.

The gang headed out to the Lamar Valley with picnic lunches this morning, and I just got up and tentatively ate a piece of toast. So far, so good [knock wood] Tea tastes wonderful, thankfully, since the juice just tasted weird. Tastebuds on the blink still.

Oh, and the results of food poisoning after you've eaten a piece of blackberry pie? Not pretty! Thankfully the unit has a washer and drier cus my nightgown was a mess.

But not all sucks! We're staying across the street form the Wolf Discovery center and this morning at dawn, since I had the bedroom window open (It always happens when I come here, it's 30 out and I'm too hot in the room to sleep, so I open the window.) I was woken to the sound of wolf song! It was amazing!! And then there was the song of wild turkeys -- not quite so harmonious!

Later, depending on if I feel steady on my feet, I may walk across the street and visit the wolves. Wolves are my favourite animal, and the center does amazing work.

*HUGS* I'm sorry for the food poisoning! I hope you're feeling better soon.

*minorly envious of wolf alarm* I love the sound of wolves in the wild. I remember one of the records my grandparents played for me as a child was of wolves howling in the wild. I never found it to be spooky, just beautiful and harmonious. (Not so much the wild turkey song, though. *g*)

Oh, that's terrible! A few months ago I had to spend two weeks in the hospital due to food poisoning; it was not fun. I hope you'll recover soon and have a chance to go out and see the wolves.

Awww... poor baby. *pats* I hope you feel better soon! Food poisoning is not fun.

And you're across the street from the Wolf Discovery center? So cool! That means you're my neck of the country! ^_^

Wolves! I love wolves too. In a theoretical way, that is, as there is no wolves here, and I had no acquaintance with any of those beautiful animals. But still... wolves!
But, ouch! sorry for you food poisoning! Sounds quite awful :(
Hope you are already ok, and had pay a visit to Wolf Discovery Center :)
Take care!

Not the dreaded food poisoning. That bites the big one. (Pun intended *cheeky grin*)

But the wolves - AHH, how wonderful! You are in my absolute favorite part of the country. Some day I'll be living there.

{{{Hugs}}} I got that once from Thousand Island Dressing when I was working one summer. Two days later I still felt like I was going to have heat stroke.

No wolf icons, how 'bout a puppy (and Mr. Sir) instead?

So sorry about the food poisoning-I got it after eating a badly-kept frozen dinner (partially thawed, then re-frozen & heated) around the holidays. I had eaten some chicken soup a few hours later-was about four months before I could even look at chicken soup again.

That's awesome to the Nth degree about the wolves! I watched a PBS nature doc on the Lamar Valley and it looked magnificent!

Feel better soon :)

Good Heavens Woman..first the finger and now food poisoning?

...been there, done that *twice*..

I feel your pain!

*sends virtual tea, ginger and HUGS*

Wolves are awesome. My roommate in the Navy had a half wolf/half sheppard and she was just amazing! That was one big animal! But loving and protective!

Ah, that sucks. Sorry about the sicky-ickies. But it is cool you're near the wolves. Hope you felt good enough to go visit!

*hugs*

Hope you feel better soon, but i'm most jealous about the wolves. They're my favourite animal too, and since they've been extinct in the UK for centuries in the wild (except for one reintroduced pack of Canadian Timber wolves in Scotland which might as well be as far away as Canada for me!) I only ever see them out of their natural environment at safari parks like Longleat. *pouts*

But again *hugs and virtual tea*

I WANNA LOOK FOR WOLVES!! Is this the area you live in or are you guys somewhere special?

Also, I got food poisoning a few months ago and it was horrible, I was fine, chatting on line etc. I went to bed maybe 1-2am with a slight stomach ache but didn't think much of it. Yeah, woke up like 3:30am with that 'I'm gonna be sick'feeling. I spent the next like 5 hours vomiting off and on. It was just annoying because I'd vomit and feel better but then like half an hour later feel another wave of sickness. Yeah, my body was also trying to get rid of it the other way :( NOT FUN :( I hope you're feeling better!
