While visiting the courthouse to clear up Tessa's traffic tickets, MacLeod, Tessa, and Richie are among a group that is taken hostage by a band of men bent on freeing their leader, Slade, from imprisonment. When Slade's demands are not met, he chooses a hostage to sacrifice. I recall lots of folks not liking this ep, but it's actually one of my S1 favs. I enjoy the repartee and the change of location, and the little girl is adorable. Plus, nowadays you can watch it and wince at the outfits.
