So Tired

All of us are just dragging. Mum ended up sleeping in the basement on the sofa down there, which all the cats thought was fascinating. I went out to the driveway around 1:30am to try and cool off, so was sitting on Nin's chaise lounge, and I went and fell asleep! Woke up about an hour later and came in, though I was tempted to just stay out there.

Currently, they're installing the new A/C up on the roof, or are about to. Don't know if the crane has gotten here yet. I intend to take a long nap once it's all working!

Oh, yeah, yuck. I do hate trying to sleep when it's hot. Sometimes sleeping outdoors is the only answer, unless there are mosquitoes.

At least you can easily write a scene where Charlotte's suffering from the heat!!

The heat will really take it out of you, even if you aren't doing anything. It's why I wish this part of the country would adopt the "afternoon siesta" custom, at least during the summer.
