We had a lovely time in Tempe, and nearly empty flights in either direction. It was hot, but not as hot as it's been, so that was nice. Tired now. I didn't attend the con, and sold my membership to someone who really wanted to go but the con was sold out. However, I was stalked by fake Terry Pratchett through much of the weekend. Nin is now an official member of the Thieves Guild and has a certificate to prove it. She now needs an official thief name - I suggested Ninja Piglet Sticky Fingers, but she didn't like that for some reason [g] Jen and Nin drank every drop of Ginger Margarita in the hotel, so when I went to get one Sunday evening they were all out! [curses them] I do have to say that the mix of ASU football boosters and costumed Discworld fen was something you don't see every day. People watching the various groups was fascinating.

On another note entirely, why is it that those who bean count every comment they receive on their LJ and demand participation (there's probably a flowchart involved somewhere)rarely comment on your LJ? It always amuses me no end.

So I'm putting all you lurkers on notice! You better step it up, people, and meet the quota or you're GONE! I'm laying down the law. I don't care if you're dealing with RL issues or haven't been around much, it's no excuse! You will perform, damn it!

So, you all do know I'm kidding, right? K [g] I love it when people pop out of lurkdom and comment, but I will never cut someone from my f'list because I haven't heard from you in a while. I know we all have lives that can make it hard to keep up some days. Though if you disappear for too long, I might DM you to make sure you're okay [g]

*hugs* Glad you're home safe and sound and that you had a wonderful time. I would have loved to indulge in the people watching between the ASU fans and the Discworld fen. :)

As for the other...wow, that's a strange kind of pettiness. And the irony of their lack of comments is not lost. ;)

It was quite something! I was waiting for the posse to get out of a reading, so decided to sit in the bar and have a glass of wine. I had a primo viewing location.

Primo viewing locations are things of awesomeness. I remember sitting at the bar at the RT booklovers con in '05 and it was interesting to see all the people milling about.
