First Soup of the Autumn

Even if it was in the seventies today, I made pumpkin soup. Was yummy and am full. Also made Parker House rolls. They weren't bad, but I wasn't entirely happy with them. Will try again and see if I can do better.

In TV news, we're a week behind due to being away and counting. Nin's working the last two nights, so all we've seen so far is last week's Grey's and Private Practice. We'll be watching a lot of TV this weekend!

I took your advice and posted my Maude story to 7men1destiny. Pretty sure there will be no interest, but nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?

I really have a yen to read some good Methos fic. It's sad there's really not much being written these days. But it is a dead fandom, so I suppose it's to be expected. Why can't there be a new show I can get into like my fandoms of yore? I've about given up on that ever happening. But I suppose it might be possible. Maybe?

I would assume they'd be similar, but I don't like squash, so have never had the soup.

I hate squash, but I had butternut squash soup at my brother's wedding, and it was SO good. I've never had pumpkin soup, but if it tastes anything like pumpkin pie, then I would probably like it. :)
My mom just sent me a recipe for cheesy broccoli potato soup, and it called for swiss cheese, which I thought was strange. What kind of cheese would you use?

I've always seen it made with cheddar, so Swiss could be an interesting twist.
