I was making some baby icons for a friend on LJ who just had a little one, and got to wondering: are icons of your baby the modern equivalent of baby on the bear rug photos? Can't you just see parents making the SO look at how cute their baby was in icons?

Yeah, I think of weird things.

this actually makes me think, I have a favour to ask you, if it's possible. I have an animated icon that I can't use because of LJ having changed it's rules about file size. The problem is, I don't have photoshop on my current computer so I don't think I can change the file size myself, is there any way you could do it?

I don't have a program for animated icons, I'm afraid. Or photoshop for that matter :) I have old timey software. But I would if I could!

I feel like they'd of had to since I used to have the icon and now when I try and upload it LJ claims it is too big

As far as I know it's always been 100x100. I haven't heard that they've changed the size. Did you inadvertantly change the size of your icon above that by some chance?

no no I meant the file size, not the dimensions :)

Ahh, I see. I don't remember LJ having an announcement about anything changing. And I don't remember what the file size requirements were. I hope my "Jingle Balls" still works this Christmas.

I think it might be like 40? My icon is around 49 :(

Yeah, I checked. It's 40KB. My Jingle Balls icon is only 19 KBs so I'm good. I don't remember if their requirments used to be bigger or not.
