Seeking revenge for the apparent death of her lover, Walter Reinhardt, Rebecca Lord toys with MacLeod before she attempts to kill him with Reinhardt's sword. Rebecca knows nothing of Immortals or their combat, and she believes MacLeod murdered Reinhardt. This was one of my favorite Season 1 episodes. I like the character of Rebecca. A stronger actress would have improved the episode (wasn't she the backup singer for Prince?), but overall it was decent.

The story idea itself was good and covered a lot of fears Tessa would have. Guys fights, dies, never know, no body to bury, etc. Also, the jealousy was good. As Pat said, the line about really old guys was good. My favorite was the one about "what part of your anatomy concluded that" or some such language.

Oh, and yes, AP looks great in a Tux.

Again, however, women's clothes are very dated.

Seriously. Did they send the costume department to an 80's rummage sale or something? When season one first came on tv here I thought it was a much older show because of the appalling women's clothes. There was a lot of Big Hair floating around too.

That's what really made the episode work for me. It's bad enough being married to a cop, soldier, or fireman, knowing that your partner's life may be in danger at any time. Waiting up when their late, wondering if tonight is the night you'll get that phone call or visit. But for the partners of Immortals it would be even worse.

I wasn't terribly impressed by the actress, but at least the character DID something about this horrifying and mysterious loss.
