Home from Dland, but got sick during the trip. Finally caught whatever it is my brother and one of my bosses has had the prior week. I felt so awful this morning, I actually called in sick.
The weather was awful the drive down on Friday night. Pouring rain and pouring rain and very heavy fog as we drove over the San Bernadino mountains. Travel in winter in Calif. is always a crap shoot. Get to the hotel at nearly 2am and after we've unpacked, realize the heater is only blowing cold air, and they have no maintenance staff on, so I trudge down to the desk to get keys to a new room. It was a very long day. Especially was we' all been up since 6am. Sat., though it was supposed to rain all day, it actually didn't rain for more than ten minutes, so no complaints there. The park was pretty empty, so much so they closed at 9pm instead of midnight like was scheduled, so that was unhappy making. Amusing moment in Frontier Land - they were playing the Mag 7 theme. It was from the movie, not the series, but still, it gave me a chuckle.
Today, I haven't done much more than drink tea and sleep. I'm pondering a shower, since the heat would feel good.
And then there's this: Today has been declared lurker amnesty day! Have you read me but never commented? Do you surf by occasionally? Say hello! You are under no obligation to ever comment or delurk again, but here's a chance to do so in a post just for that.

They are saying 6-8" over 36 hours. We will see.

Too bad they shut down D'land early on you. A couple (maybe 12) years back, I was in LA for meetings and arrived on a Sunday afternoon. Having little better to do, I spent the rest of the afternoon and the evening at D'land (with a light drizzle).
I lost count of the number of times I went through the Haunted House, but I managed to take all three paths through the Indiana Jones ride. You can sure get around when the park isn't over loaded.
