Okay, I'll start. This is one of those eps that I really didn't care for that much. For some reason it just didn't play believably for me. Even though Duncan looked great and it did have it's moments. Like Duncan and Richie following the police and Tessa to the safe house. I'm doing this by memory now - but it seems like there was a line where Duncan said someone had followed her and she reminded him that he had too. And he says "yes, but I'm madly in love with you." It was moments like this in their relationship that really defined them.

And then Tessa talking about how awful it must have been for the other woman with her man disappearing and no closure. And Duncan said that he knew she was stronger and she could handle that. And her reply was to the effect that he just likes to think so because it suits him.

Very lovely scenes.

Which is why I love Highlander. Even in the shows that don't quite hit their mark with me all the way, there is usually something in them that I love. Or something that defines the characters in a way that makes a difference. Or their relationships.

It's been a looong time since I've seen this show. It was a fairly static plot, as I recall, although it was nice that Tessa got more screen time. The bad guy was pretty lame (the Immortal cop, wasn't it?), but you're right that there were some lovely scenes between Duncan and Tessa. That was definitely the best aspect of the ep.

What I like in this, it underscores the sense of realism to the relationship: It's not all easy even outside dramatic moments. Plus, Tessa was allowed wit of her own, despite often being a minor character. Minor characters of an epi often get treated so badly that they become mere cardboard cutouts...
