Lots of TV and One Movie
Sep. 28th, 2010 05:34 pmReally liking Hawaii 5-0, and it doesn't hurt that it has a very pretty cast overall. I loved the original when I was little and may have had a wee crush on Jack Lord, so I'm surprised I'm enjoying this new version so much.
Chuck!! Totally awesome. And did you catch who was playing one of the 'clerks' at the BuyMore? ( Casting spoiler... )
How I Met Your Mother - how a show can make me simultaneously sniffy and laughing out loud, I know not, but they managed. NPH is made of win, and any episode where Wayne Brady is back is a double treat.
Castle, well, we've seen 45 minutes of it. Nin was falling asleep in her chair, so we'll finish it tonight.
Monday is an embarrassment of riches. Have temporarily given up on House as I never caught up on the last 6 eps of last season over the summer, and here it is back already. I'm kinda sad that I show I was fannishly obsessive over is now one I don't really miss not seeing :(

Mar. 11th, 2010 07:24 pmWe've been slamming trying to catch up with TV we've missed. Season enders of Chuck, Burn Notice, and Psych were great - especially Chuck! So much squee at Casa de NinIth.
Have given up on American Idol - a cross between not enough time and just generally bleah contestants. Might check back in later.
Still need to catch up on Amazing Race, House, Make It Or Break It, Supernatural, How I Met Your Mother, Merlin, Friday Night Lights, and 24.
Woot had the entire series of Miami Vice for $35 this week. YES! I've been wanting to own that one a lot. And Nin's only seen a few eps, so I can share it with her.
Now for the Iron Man II trailer - was it not awesome? I can't wait! I've come to accept that I'm not going to get to even start on the sequel to Practical Applications before it comes out, so while I still plan for it to take place between the two movies, I guess I'll have to look at the bright side and see it as inspiration for the voices. Nin and I were talking about how what we've seen in the trailers so far will impact Charlotte and Tony's friendship. But I guess I shouldn't mention it here without spoilers, in case there are those of you avoiding the trailers.

And since it's on a TV, so related, Nin bought a Wii with the Xmas check from her parents. The whole reason for buying it was pretty much so we could play the home version of Toy Story Carnival game form California Adventure. That comes in tomorrow. But we played some sort of crossbow target game this afternoon, and it was a lot of fun!
