A More Permanent Hell

Yes, I'm sick, again. Or it's an extension of the last sickness, I don't know. It's not the flu, but it's worse than a cold. I shall just call it Rufus the Sick. Now if I can just avoid the actual influenza, I will be happy.

I did have some fun this afternoon though - did a Twitter rewatch of Avengers with my Magnificent 7 twitter peeps. We had an international gathering, and the hashtag was #punygod. I was a little slow with the tweeting as my hurty head really wasn't digging me trying to multitask, but we had a good time.

On the TV front, Scandal keeps me coming back for more, and was happy to have Lost Girl back. The rewatch of Mag 7 continues, and we're now a little more than halfway through S2.

We were going to go to the movies tomorrow, probably Les Miserables, but I don' think I'm going to be up to it. Plus, I've heard it's a multiple tissue movie, and I don't think my poor lungs could handle it.

The story written for me for hlh_shortcuts has been posted, titled A Routine Operation, a fun Avengers crossover featuring Phil Coulson.

It was finally playing at the faux IMAX in Springdale, so we went and saw it one last time on the big screen. Then we came home and watched the movie with the Joss commentary. I think I'm in the mood now to write the sequel to Whites As Snow, since it takes place during the movie, I've been pondering the logistics.

Speaking of the DVD, actually it's the BluRay, it's just they're DVDs to me.... Anyway, I was really disappointed that after months of hearing about 45 minutes of deleted scenes, there were a paltry 13 minutes on the disc. And all but one, I'd seen on YouTube already. Maybe they're saving them for the Phase One box set coming out in the spring. I also need to see how to access the Easter egg I read about, security footage of Loki in the cell. And see if there are other Easter eggs.

So looking forward to IM III!

An Avengers/James Bond fic.

I think this may have been inspired by listening to Adele's 'Skyfall'.

Despite what I posted yesterday, that rumour had it there was something extra added to the end of Avengers for this week's re-release, there was not :( It was great seeing it again in the theatre, but a bit of a let down all the same.

Why ask viewers to sit through the credits again? Adding something new would certainly be one way to guarantee more return viewers who’ve already seen the film on its first theatrical run. It would also be good opportunity to tease Iron Man 3 which opens next summer as well, considering near-finished footage was played at Comic-Con in July to much praise. Iron Man 3 is nearing the completion of shooting as Thor: The Dark World prepares to begun production in the UK so there’s a lot to tease.

I'm looking at that Marvel Timeline of events leading up to Avengers, and it's confusing me. I wanted a general idea of how much time had passed since the end of Thor/IM II to the Avengers. 3 or 4 days? Really? That doesn't even make sense, so I must be reading their timeline wrong. [scratches head]

ETA: especially as Tasha says to Banner that he's gone a year without an incident. Looking at that timeline, that wouldn't fit.
