So I had to write a wee bit of the Lost Girl/Highlander fic that's been churning around my brain. As with many stories involving Methos, it begins with, Methos walks into a bar....

A blissful sigh escaped Methos' lips as he set the empty mug down onto the smooth surface of the bar. "If I'd remembered how good your ale was, I'd have visited sooner."
The bearded bartender nodded, replacing the empty glass with a full one. "Won't find better anywhere." Giving Methos a gauging once over, he added, "So you didn't drop by for a drink."
"We were in town, thought we'd catch up - you know how it is." Methos grinned. "Wanted to see if you were still playing barkeep, Cernun... sorry, it's Trick now, right." He hadn't missed the wince and his grin broadened. "Life treating you well, I hope."
"It isn't boring, that's certain," Trick replied with a shrug. "You know what they say about living in interesting times."
"I do indeed." Methos took a long swallow of his ale.

More? I don't know, but I'm inclined to continue [g]
