I think one of my fave Xmas albums is the one by Blackmores Night - just love it! I really should check out some of their other offerings.
It's been a hell of a week at work and I can not wait for the weekend. Tomorrow is our holiday party, which I had to plan, so I hope all goes well.

The Kindle cover from Oberon I got for mum came in today and it's exquisite! And I got free gifties! A pewter Tree of Life magnet, and an oak leaf key charm - though I'm not sure what a key charm is [g] I love oak leaves/acorns.
Can you believe the year's almost over??!?1
Three of my favourite traditional carols: Good King Wenceslas, O Holy Night, Come Come Emmanuel.
Speaking of traditional, I think I've worked up the courage to go to Christmas Eve services this year. Going to a new church is something I have to work up my nerve for, you see.

Date: 2010-12-17 09:10 pm (UTC)From:We attended a concert (wind, brass, and percussion only) last weekend which was held in a church 30-45 miles away. A niece was one of the clarinets. Various odd Christmas ensembles wrapped around pieces from Bernstein's Mass. (First time I have heard B's Mass live ... though missing the vocalists. I really missed the vocalists on Agnus Dei and Simple Song.)
Anyway, the husband of the pastor is a retired pastor and old friend of ours. The mailing we received was along the lines of ... hey we know we're a long ways away from where you live, but we're here if you need us.
