It Went Well

Work 'Winter Dinner' went well last night. I did little table favours for everyone to take home, and had a few door prizes that we raffled off at the end. The food was good, and everyone seemed to enjoy it, even though people basically arrive, eat, the bosses make a little speech and then everyone flees. I think we could accomplish the same thing by ordering some pizza, but that's just me. Nin and I did stay about 1/2 hour more, chatting with my project manager and his wife. They're also California natives and are equally baffled by the eat and scoot holiday parties in Utah.

Is that the parties are "dry" in Utah, or is it something else?

I have been to parties where certain people (not myself) spent the whole time brown nosing upper management. I assume that your operation is too small for that to make any difference.

So I guess you are saying that the people just don't want to be around each other then?
