A thought I had when watching Supernatural episode before last...



What if the head demon guy is setting up the people like Sam? Making it seem like he has a plan for them, that they'll be on his side, but in reality, they're a threat, so he's doing everything he can to kill them off/get them killed off before the war, or whatever it is?



More speculation than anything else.

Funnily enough, I was thinking something along the same lines (ah yes, torrents, don't you love them?). I was wondering if there was a 'free will' clause. Yes, they have powers; yes, they could be used for good or evil, but the final choice is left up to the individual'.

But temptation (or murder) is allowed, by the opposing parties, to sway them...

Watching the most recent episode in the haunted inn, I was struck by the blatant steal homage to The Shining. Specifically, Dean sitting down and having a drink (at the bar lit from below) while talking to the bartender who has been around forever.

I also have to wonder if the confusion about the Winchester boys being a couple rather than brothers wasn't thrown in just to mess with the slashfic crowd.
