Welcome to Forever Knight Episode discussion. We're starting at the beginning, and depending how it goes, we'll do one to two eps a week. You can find the links for previous discussions here. Next up will be Dance By The Light Of The Moon -- look for it next Tuesday.

Dying to Know You, Air Date: June 1992

The wife and daughter of a well-known philanthropist are kidnapped and held for ransom, and psychic Denise Fort is brought in help Nick and Schanke with the case. Her powers are genuine, and therein lies the problem: she keeps picking up flashes of Nick's "other life", and Nick feels torn about whether or not to reveal himself to her, since she thinks it's a sign that she's having a breakdown. Nick's recollections of a similar situation in Puritan New England make him determined that Denise won't share th e fate of his mortal friend from that time. ~ recap via tv.com

The Modern Prometheus discussion has broken into the top three for number of comments. It's at 67 97 so far. 'Finale' is number one two with 88 comments, and 'Till Death' is number two three at 74.

That being said, I think this will be another one episode week. I don't think my brain can handle another ep discussion this week! Besides the discussion here, I'm following at least three other posts on the topic on other LJs. The fact MP was in my dreams last night seems as good a sign as any to wait till next week for anything new! :) So look for 'Indiscretions' 'Archangel' next week instead of the usual Wednesday -- if that's okay with everyone?

Also, at some point over the next few weeks, I'll put up a season one poll to see what episodes will be in the next round.

As some of you have probably read over the last few months, I'm reading and rereading really old Highlander fic that I've stashed away over the last ten years. I have found some some wonderful new stuff lately by [livejournal.com profile] keerawa & [livejournal.com profile] amonitrate, amongst others, but I'd love to read more. So if there are stories you've read, or have written -- don't be shy! -- that you'd like to rec that are het or gen, please do. Even if you have a rec that's vaguely slashy (I think I've seen the term pre-slash?) that would be kewl too. OCs are fine, so are xovers, any rating at all.

Thank you in advance for your input!

I'm supposed to call an endontist per my new dentist to see why I've had pain in one tooth for three years. But I just keep looking at the referral note.

I've hit a wall on my fic. I know where it ends up, but can't seem to get there.

My blog continues to languish even though I received a lovely write up as one of the 'Blogosphere's very best of the distaff persuasion'. I just can't seem to write current events 'non fiction' types of things when I'm writing fiction. My brain seems to work on an either or sort of setting .

Can't seem to find a new fandom to rival my old ones. Is it they just don't make shows like they used to, or is it that I'm getting old and am in a rut? Or is it the people? Sometimes I think that may be it. I think enjoyment of a fandom is as much fellow fans that touch you as it is the show itself. I know, I know, when I started we banged rocks together and walked five miles in the snow :)

Don't mind me, I'm just feeling maudlin tonight.
