Thank you [livejournal.com profile] easilymused1956 for reccing Bottle Shock! When I looked it up after you'd mentioned it, I saw it was only $10 at Amazon, so I ordered. We watched it last night, and just loved it! For me, it was hugely nostalgia. That's the Napa of my childhood, before it was a pricey 'destination'. I remember going to the state park in Calistoga with a picnic lunch, and after, I'd explore the pioneer cemetery there. Then we'd go to Beringer for the tour of the wine aging tunnels, which I loved - it was always so cool in there compared to the summer heat outdoors. It all made me very homesick for California. Also had a bit of a crossover moment when Alan Rickman and Eliza Dushku had a scene together. Throw in Chris Pine and it was a Harry Potter/Buffy/Star Trek mash!

I think part of the reason I got so far ahead in Transformative Variations was that I was finally to the section when Tony shows up. He motivated me to get a move on [g] He really is a great character to write, and it was fun being able to do so again. Keep your fingers crossed that he keeps being motivating as the weeks go by! And that I can remember how to write sex scene. Tony's really hoping I can.

This has been going around my f'list for a while, and I hesitated to do it since Little Voice tells me no one's going to actually comment. But I'm feeling exceptionally brave this afternoon, and am ignoring Little Voice, so....

I reread what I wrote yesterday and ended up doing major tweaking. I'm now done and won't reopen it till [livejournal.com profile] strangevisitor7 sends it back or I'll start at it again!

A few things occurred to me as I was writing. One, Kronos and keeping the story's rating where it's at. I made a decision going in that there were places I didn't want to go, and I managed it. I'm glad I was able to pull it off - hopefully, successfully. Two, Ezra having the last word. How ironic is that? When I started writing this, I didn't even know who Ezra was, had never seen an episode of Magnificent Seven, and yet, he ended up being pivotal to the story. He really is a good conman, isn't he? Three, Joe sneaking in. I even said in an early comment reply when asked, that no, I had no plans for Joe to appear in this story. Boy, shows what I know! Maybe he colluded with Ezra? Five, I had to make some timeline changes part way through, and I think I fixed all the places that had events that needed redating, both in West and prior stories, but if I missed any, please let me know.
